TERMS AND CONDITIONS • Introduction The Giro Samba event (hereinafter “Festival” or “Event”) is a dance festival focused on Samba and its variations, promoted by Giro Samba Lda., legally incorporated in Portugal, corporate registration number (NIPC) 518406091, with registered office at Av. do Brasil n.º 1 – 1749-008 Lisbon. • Participation in the Event • All participants must register and pay applicable fees before attending classes or associated events. • Festival organisers reserve the right to change the schedule, teachers, or venues if necessary. • Participants must follow venue rules and instructor guidance during all activities. • Participants must check in at the Event at the location and time indicated by the organisers, presenting valid identification, at which point they will receive a wristband that must be worn throughout the Event. • Payment and Refunds • No refunds will be provided under any circumstances. • Tickets are transferable, subject to the conditions below. • Ticket Transfer: • Tickets may be transferred until 1 May 2025; involved participants must follow these steps: • The new participant must complete the form (Google Forms) available on the website on the transfer date • The original ticket holder must email girosambafestival@gmail.com stating they are transferring the ticket, with the new participant’s full name and email. • Ticket transfer is subject to confirmation by the organisation, sent by email to both the original and substitute ticket holder. • Ticket transfer may require payment of the price difference if the new participant belongs to a higher-priced ticket tier. • Ticket transfer is valid only after confirmation by the organisation and payment, if applicable, of the tier difference. • Intellectual Property and Image Rights Assignment • All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and any copyright-protected material, is the exclusive property of Giro Samba Lda. (NIPC 518406091) • By participating in the Event, participants acknowledge and agree they may be photographed or filmed during activities, and such material may be used for promotional, advertising, and dissemination purposes in any media, including but not limited to social networks, websites, printed materials, and other channels. • By confirming attendance at the Event, participants freely assign all image and sound rights related to their participation, waiving any right to remuneration or compensation for such use. • Image rights assignment is irrevocable, valid nationwide and abroad, and for an indefinite period. • Limitation of Liability • Participants attend classes and other Event activities, or activities associated with the Event, at their own risk. • Organisers are not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings. • Sanctions and Removal of Participants • Giro Samba organisers reserve the right to sanction or remove any participant who, by their actions, violates event rules or commits serious offences such as aggressive behaviour, physical or verbal violence, use of illicit substances, or any act compromising the safety and wellbeing of others. In case of violations, organisers will take necessary measures, including immediate removal from the event without refund or compensation. The organisation’s decision is final and aims to ensure the integrity and proper conduct of the event for everyone involved.
